Welcome Fall

I'm so excited that we finally got some fall decorating done :) However, the weather is supposed to get warm here this week, so I'm not so sure it really will feel like fall. We had such a busy weekend, but it was definitely full of friends and fun! I keep on telling myself that I will spend one weekend in my PJs doing absolutely nothing, but for those of you who know me well, I never stop moving {my grandma had always called me a ball of perpetual motion}.

We have started to cook a nice dinner on most Sundays ... This weeks dinner was vegan meatloaf, mashed taters and mushroom gravy ... YUM!  Little man enjoyed some taters, but that was about it.  He has been loving some broccoli, sweet potatoes and avocados lately.  The candy corn oreos have also made an appearance again, and I'm ashamed to say that we have already devoured 2 {yes, TWO} packages of these! The way I see it is that I'm still breastfeeding, so that burns a lot of calories, right?!

Northern Shenanigans

Happy Hump Day Y'all!  Only 2 more days until the weekend - hooray!  We have lots of plans already for lunches, dinners and coffee dates.  I'll finally be able to pull out our fall decor and decorate the house!  A trip to the farmers market is definitely in store so we can get ourselves some pumpkins for decorating :)

7 Months

7 months (yes a little late, I know)!  I think we are beyond the days where we used to get nice pictures where he would sit and not move.  This boy is on a mission to go and he's not letting anyone stop him.  7 months has been a blast so far, full of new and wonderful things :)  

Cade now has 2 teeth, does the crawl/scoot like a champ, and has officially started pulling himself up on everything (tables, crib, mama, daddy)!  I have a feeling walking is not far away {sigh}.  He is so full of energy and loves to babble up a storm.  His sleeping is ok right now ... It seems like every time we go on vacation, he gets all out of sorts, then it takes him a couple of weeks to return to normal once we get home.  It doesn't help that we all came home with some sort of allergy/cold combo, so we've all been battling to feel better!  Hopefully he starts to get back on track and sleeping like a champ.

This boy still LOVES to eat.  The only food he hasn't liked has been peaches, but other than that this boy can eat {I mean look at those CHEEKS}.  We've still been doing a combo of BLW and purees, although I think the purees may be a thing of the past soon - he is way too interested in feeding himself!

Hopefully everyone is excited about fall arriving.  I have yet to pull out my fall decorations - let's blame that on a crazy couple of weeks at work.  My goal this weekend is to have everything pulled out and decorated this weekend.  I already have my wonderful candles, now to just accentuate everything else :)  Happy Friday y'all!

Weekend Fun

Happy Monday Everyone!  Sorry for being MIA for the past couple of weeks, but to say that we have been busy would be an understatement!  After a fun week home, we all returned to NC bringing our colds back from up north :(  Mama and daddy are still recovering and the little guy just seems to have a runny nose - thankfully he didn't get much worse!  Jason and I ran the Zombie 5K Mud Run on Saturday. George was also on our team and we had an absolute blast!  Our friend Frank also did the run with his own team while his wife Leilani watched the Macho Man.  We finished in 34 minutes and were pretty darn proud of ourselves for pushing through :)

Could our cheering section be any cuter?!  He had a blast strolling around with Leilani and her mom watching us fools run around covered in mud!  I hope everyone has an awesome start to their week. Stay tuned for pictures from our trip up home along with a 7 month update!
