20 weeks 4 days

We've had a very busy weekend!  It started out with an ER visit on Thursday night for me (no worries, I'm A-OK .. just some GERD or gastritis that we now have under control), shopping and the start of Baby W's room.  There's going to be a ton of pictures - you've been warned :)

This is Baby W's room before we painted.

This was the fun part - it took us almost 1.5 hours to tape - much harder than it seems!

 Before the tape came off

Myself and the lovely mask :)

Chalkboard for Baby W - lots of fun messages to come on this & hopefully he'll write on this instead of the walls!

Having some fun with belly art!

The finished project - We just couldn't be happier the way it turned out - now we just need to get a crib, changing table, and rocker and the room will come together.

 Finished chalkboard wall.

The 20 week belly shot!  I feel like my bell has gotten huge, but it's so hard to tell in the pictures - maybe I'm just imagining it :)

20 weeks means that we're halfway done cooking!  On Wednesday, Baby W weighed in @ 12 ounces (thinking he might be a big baby because most don't hit that weight until 24 weeks :O).  We got to see him yawn and move around quite a bit too :)  He is apparently now the size of a banana and is approximately 6.5" long (although I swear he's a lot longer looking @ the ultrasound pics of his legs)!  The baby's taste buds are now fully working.  His movement is getting stronger and stronger by the day.

BOY!!  So it's official - we have a little football player and we couldn't be happier :)  This is just a  quick post to let everyone know - I'll put another update on over the weekend!

19 weeks 2 days

5 more days until we find out if there will be pink or blue in our future!  This is all in hopes that the baby will cooperate and show it's goods!  I personally can't wait to find out so we can finally start decorating the Baby's room!  This means I can actually start buying clothes that are gender specific ... HOORAY!  I've still been feeling great - sleeping well and so far no crazy cravings (lucky for Jason)!

Baby W is now the size of a mango!  He/she weighs about 8.5 oz and is 6 inches long ... it's crazy how much the baby grows in just one week. This week's milestone includes developing his/her five senses - nerve cells for smell, taste, sight, hearing and touch are developing in the brain.

18 weeks 3 days

Fall is in full swing (even though our temperatures don't say it yet)!  My latest find this week are these yummy candy corn oreos :)  I've been trying to be good and limit my sweet intake, but it's getting much harder now with all the fun fall and halloween candy out!  I'm sure Baby W doesn't mind ;)

Baby W is the size of a sweet potato this week - weighing in at 6.7 ounces and reaching a length of 5.7 inches.  Baby W can now yawn, hiccup, and swallow!  The little one is getting very active and I've finally felt some movement!  So far I've been feeling great ... lots of energy and no unusual cravings yet!  11 more days until Baby W's gender is revealed ... we cannot wait to start decorating and preparing for the little one!

17 weeks 1 day

Football season is here and pretty soon we will find out if we'll have a little football player or a little cheerleader!  We can't wait for the weather to start cooling down here and all the fun things associated with fall.  Baby W is starting to beef up this week ... putting some fat on those teeny-tiny bones :)  The baby is now the size of an onion - about 5.1" and 5.9 oz.  We got to hear the heartbeat today at our appointment - beating strong @ 153 bpm.

This is Oatmeal - Baby W's first "Build-A-Bear"  Aunt T.D. thought this would be a great addition for the baby and we're sure he or she will love Oatmeal!

I also couldn't resist buying this adorable cow hat over the weekend!  So far I've been very good about not buying clothes, but this just had to come home with us :)
