Fall Fun

It's finally started to feel like fall around this joint and we are SUPER excited!  I was worried that we might just skip over fall and right into winter, but it looks like we're going to see some fall weather after all!  We were able to get this little cutie dressed up and take some fun pictures outside and enjoy the weather.  October is almost over, which makes me sad, BUT that means that Christmas is right around the corner :)

Peeking around the corner, trying to figure out what Daddy was doing in the garage

I can't get enough of this sweater (if you look closely, it even has elbow patches!!)

Figuring out how to pick the flowers, then pull all the petals off!

FINALLY,  a smile :)

Nothing cuter than a naked baby butt

No mom, take my picture, not Cade's

We hope everyone has been enjoying this fall season.  For all our family up north, we hope you are enjoying the snow ;)  Next up is Halloween and all of the fun things that go along with it!!

The Fair is Here!

Today was opening day of the NC State Fair. Yes, I already went. Yes, I consumed three days worth of calories in one day. Yes, I already want to go back again! And the best part of the day, {aside from the fried oreos} we scored free admission because we got there before 3 :)

I was so excited to take the little man to the fair this year, but the little bugger slept through the majority of it :(  He missed watching his mama eat everything in sight and all the cute animals. Oh well, here's to next year!

Happy American Pharmacists Month :)

October is one of my favorite months.  First off, it's fall and fall is by far the best time of the year with all it's pumpkin-y goodness.  Second of all there's Halloween and we just love Halloween around here.  Third, it's American Pharmacists Month (my selfless plug)!  Make sure to take the time this month to let your pharmacist know just how much you appreciate it them.  I absolutely LOVE my job and the career path that I've chosen, but lately it seems that a lot of the public have disrespected our profession.  Once a well trusted health information resource, we are now treated more like employees of your favorite fast food restaurant.  Rather than a focus on accuracy and quality, there is a just a need for speed (we are dealing with medications that you put in your body people, we want to make sure everything is correct).  Between health testing, giving immunization, filling prescriptions, providing counseling and the countless other tasks we have at hand, there is hardly any time to breathe!  A simple thank you goes a LONG way especially after 8+ hours of standing, possibly no bathroom breaks, and more than likely no real meals while you are at work (yes, unlike the rest of the workforce, we get NO lunch break).  So again, if you love your pharmacist and they are your go to for all your health information, let them know how much you care :)

Here are some of our pictures that I've been snapping lately!  We enjoyed our completely laid back weekend (I finally decided to do NOTHING, and it was GLORIOUS).  This mama made a ton of meals this weekend to stock our freezer and fridge and couldn't resist making some chocolate chip cookies (most of them will go to my awesome staff @ work, but of course mama and daddy had to make sure they were OK)!  We lounged and watched the Bills play another nail biter today, then just spent the rest of the afternoon playing.

This big boy is getting brave and standing up on his own (it only lasts a few seconds).  He seems to be into everything and moves quicker than ever!  Aunt TD is coming to visit again this week and we are so beyond excited!  The fair starts Thursday and we can't wait to take Macho Man for the first time and show Aunt TD and Uncle Phil what a real fair is like!  It sucks this year because I'm not fat and pregnant, so I guess I should watch what I eat (rather than shovel everything fried into my face)!

Still "billieving"

These are by far, the worlds BEST chocolate chip cookies!!

Eating Dumping cheerios onto the floor (the dogs LOVE this)

Yes it is

Love my little chick magnet ;)

8 Months

Happy 8 Months to this sweet baby boy!  I seriously cannot get over how quickly time is flying ... It makes me both happy and sad at the same time (how is that even possible?!).  Photo shoots with this little pumpkin are becoming more difficult because someone doesn't like to sit still at all.  So between me trying to capture the perfect shot and prevent a face plant to the floor, most pictures are either blurry or him looking not so happy.  Here's the best of the bunch today!

He might just rock this outfit for the whole month of October!

Little man has been recuperating this week from an ear infection :(  We knew he just wasn't acting himself and he was having a lot of congestion + allergy symptoms.  Jason took him into the pediatrician on Monday because his eyes were funky and it turns out that he has an ear infection.  He's definitely on the upside now and back to his normal happy-go-lucky self!

He's weighed in at 18 lbs, 13 oz (chunky fat little man)!  He LOVES pulling himself up on anything and everything now.  He's getting brave and letting go of things now, but comes crashing to the floor on his bum with lots of giggles.  He just graduated today to real crawling (on hands + knees), but seems to like the army crawl a lot better.  We also got him a walker to get his little legs ready for walking.  He was a bit apprehensive at first, but the boy now RUNS in that thing and crashes into everything.  He seems to be tormenting the dogs with it too.  Boys will be boys :)

We hope y'all have an awesome weekend!  I'm stuck at work all weekend, but I will be sure to enjoy my mornings with my boys before having to head in.
