25 Weeks

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!  Today marks 25 weeks and I thought it only appropriate to do an update today :)  I just love Halloween (this probably has something to do with all the candy that's out there)!  I can't wait until next year until Baby W gets dressed up ... what fun costumes will we come up with!?

Baby W is the size of a cauliflower this week!  He is approximately 13.5" and weighs a whopping 1.5 pounds!  He's continuing to put on some fat to fill out his little wrinkles and make himself look more like a newborn.

24 Weeks 5 days

Baby W is now the size of a cantaloupe!  He weighs anywhere between 12.7 to 20.8 ounces and is ranging from 10.5 to 11.8 inches.  His see-through skin is now becoming more opaque and he has a nice pink glow thanks to newly formed capillaries.  He has been a very active little bean this week! We went to see the Olympic gymnasts in Charlotte on Friday and he was a moving and a grooving throughout the entire show (not to mention the entire day too)!

We got a lot done with his room today.  We put together his soon to be changing table (a great Ikea find) - pictures to come next week!  I also got some clothes washed and the room put together the best we can right now :)  We also got our first registry gift this week ... EEK!  It was our car seats + base + seat covers from Aunt Patty :)  Everything's starting to come together quite nicely!

Oatmeal also received a gift this week - Grandma and Grandpa W bought this Yankee outfit for the little pup ... isn't he adorable?!  (Thank you Aunt Amber and Uncle Kent for bringing it down to us!)

And I couldn't leave this out ... Aunt Amber bought him this awesome outfit so they can rock out together :)

23 weeks 3 days

We're now counting down the weeks until the 3rd trimester ... only 4 more to go!  Baby W is now the size of a grapefruit weighing between 12.7-20.8 ounces and growing the lengths between 10.5 and 11.8 inches.  Baby's face is now fully formed, we're just waiting for him to fatten up so he gets a little cuter :)

As for me, I'm still feeling great!  We've made 2 trips to the fair so I could eat my way through it - thank goodness for my awesome husband (he won't eat a thing there ... talk about willpower!).  Baby W got his first taste of fried oreos, french fries, fried girl scout cookies (carmel delights) and funnel cake.  Thank goodness it only comes once a year or else I would have some serious issues!

Just had to sneak in this adorable picture of my two snugglers ... they typically don't snuggle with each other so to catch them in action was just priceless :)

We got these awesome bibs from a friend of mine (also a co-worker who is leaving me and moving to Syracuse :( <-- if I could make this look any sadder, I would!).  She cross-stitched these and they turned out too stinking cute.  The elephant even has a little tail made of thread!

22 weeks 3 days

Baby W is now the size of a papaya!  He can weigh anywhere from 12.7 to 20.8 ounces and be as long as 11.8 inches.  His facial features are starting to fine tune so he looks more like a baby now.  He's also sleeping in cycles - usually about 12-14 hours per day.

We were able to score an awesome Groupon this week for a 3-D ultrasound, but we have to wait until at least the 28th week to see him (kind of a bummer, but I'm sure it will be here before I know it).

We had fun this week with a wrestling theme - Jason loves his wrestling, so I'm sure this little boy will too!  He's already got quite the wrestling wardrobe ... who knows, he may end up being the future world heavyweight champion!

I couldn't resist posting this picture of some diapers we got from the Honest Company. They are 100% non-toxic, chlorine-free, sustainable, and made from plant-based materials. They are biodegradable so you can feel better using them!  And the great thing is they feel and look like regular diapers and come in all sorts of fun patterns :)

We had some fun playing outside today - the weather is just perfect!  Pop Tart is eating the last of my tomatoes from the garden - I swear that the dogs got to eat more than Jason and I did!

And finally - the crib is in!  We got to put it together today which was a fun adventure.  The colors are just perfect for the room!

21 weeks 2 days

We received an adorable outfit this week from Aunt Patty and Uncle Joe.  We can't wait until he's here so he can wear this awesome outfit!

Pitt plays Syracuse tonight - I thought it only appropriate to include it in this week's board!  Let's hope for a P-I-T-T win!

On a side note, Shortbread had her checkup yesterday with the cardiologist and everything is great!  She has no fluid build up around her heart, no evidence of clot formation in her heart and her lungs sound great!  Everyone is so amazed at how well she is doing and how far she has come - she's achieved celebrity status @ NC State!

Little boy is the size of a pomegranate this week - reaching a size of 12.7 oz and a length of 10.5 inches.  He's forming meconium this week (aka - baby's first poo :P ).  Movement is much more noticeable and he seems to be most active at night when we're watching TV or sitting around (not interfering with sleep though which is good!).
