Happy Birthday Cade

Holy.Cow. My little boy is ONE today.  I cannot believe how quickly that first year has gone and quite frankly, I'm scared shitless to think about how quickly the rest of the years will go.  But for now, I'm taking a nice deep breath and trying to enjoy every single second with him!

Aunt Amber gave little man his third (yes, third) haircut.  He was NOT happy this time!  He totally had no time for such BS - there was way too much playing and running around to be done, hence the totally sad face and lots of tears :(

We had such a blast for his birthday weekend.  We had so many family members come into town (which we are so, so grateful for) so we've been keeping ourselves busy.  We definitely missed all of those who couldn't make the trip (we'll have lots of pictures to share - we had our photographer come so we could enjoy the party).  Cade had a great party and was spoiled rotten by all his wonderful family and friends.  He has completely exhausted himself playing with all his new toys today.

Almost One

It's been a while! We have been super busy around here lately. There's been lots of party planning going on, Jason is going back to work which means we have been searching for a nanny non stop!

Little man is not so little anymore :( He is officially over crawling and loves to walk everywhere.  He talks up a storm, mostly babbling, but there is a definite dada, mama, and kitty. He is cutting 5 teeth right now, but you would never know because he's as happy-go-lucky as ever! He eats like a champ and eats pretty much everything we do now. We've started to work with a fork and spoon, which he absolutely loves, but is still trying to figure it out!

We are so excited to celebrate Macho Man's birthday next weekend with all of our family and friends :) I'm not going to lie, it's definitely bittersweet as we love to watch him grow, it's so hard to see him get bigger! I wish there was a pause button in life. Here's a little sneak peak of some of the cute finds we have!

Eleven Months

Happy Eleven Months sweet baby boy!  We are going to enjoy this last month as much as we can before this little guy turns O-N-E.  He has officially become a walker and is quite apt to showing off his new skills whenever he can - crawling is currently for chumps.  He still eats very well and absolutely loves his Cheerios.  He has been munching on lots of tofu, raviolis, spaghetti, fruits and while we try different veggies, he usually just feeds those to the dogs!  Pop Tart and Stryker just LOVE feeding time - hopefully they won't start showing the extra pounds :)

He is still sleeping through the night pretty well.  We try to have him down by 7 and he usually sleeps until 7, but sometimes he wants to start his day at 6.  We're currently battling a little cough which is causing him to not sleep as well, but hopefully it's ready to head out the door!

Hopefully everyone is surviving this cold weather that has graced everywhere.  Y'all can keep your cold and snow, we don't want it down here!  Here's to a health, happy New Year for everyone and a fun last month before my baby isn't a baby anymore!

Happy New Year!

Welcome 2014!  2013 was a pretty amazing year for us.  We welcomed our wonderful little man into the world and got to share many "firsts" with him along the way.  We had tons of visitors and were able to make it home a few times to enjoy the company of family and friends.  We are so thankful for all of the great things in our lives :)

Our evening was very uneventful.  I worked until 10 and came home and went to bed - Woohoo, big party animals right here!  After an incredibly busy night at work, I just wanted to come home and have a hot date with my pillow :)  Maybe next year will be a little more exciting!

We had a great Christmas over here.  We were sad not to be able to spend it with more of our family, but it was nice making our own traditions with our little man.  He definitely was not into opening presents - he was more concerned with the boxes that everything came in!  I'm sure next year will be a whole different story.

We're Back!

Sorry for being MIA for so long!  To say things have been crazy here would be a complete understatement.  Once we got back from our lovely visit up North, our days have been full of chasing the wild creature, finishing up  the last of the cookies, wrapping presents and Christmas movies on repeat!  I have been fortunate enough to have off until the 27th, so I'm soaking up every single second with this little man!

We hope everyone is all set for the holidays  Hopefully y'all have been good and Santa will bring everyone lots of goodies :) Much love from ours to yours during this holiday season!

P.S. - Cheerios can keep your baby entertained for hours on a plane. Don't leave home without them :)

TEN Months

Ten months. Ten months. Ten months.  Where is the pause button??  It's hard to believe that in just 2 short months this little guy will be ONE.  I wish I could make time slow down just to cherish every single little moment with him.  Thank goodness that we only have two more months of photo shoots because he wants absolutely nothing to do with sitting still long enough for me to capture his picture.  I thought the lights would be a fun touch, but he absolutely hated them and crawled away as fast as possible.  Oh well, maybe next year.

This little man has been babbling up a storm lately, with his latest ramblings being mamamamama.  It just melts my heart!  He's been able to say dada for a LONG time now, so it's only fair that it's my turn :)  I'm sure we aren't far away from walking either - he loves to push around everything that he can.  He's even getting brave and taking a few steps on his own, but then usually falls on his butt.  We've been gearing up for the Christmas season with lots of shopping, decorating and baking.  I'm so excited to have him around for the holidays, it just makes everything extra special!

Hopefully everyone up North is dealing with the lovely snow.  It's been beautiful down here (not rubbing it in or anything)!  The forecast for this week is great too - we are supposed to be in the 60's.  WOOHOO!
